Storage Information: How To Store Chocolates

THE POD CHOCOLATES RECOMMENDED STORAGE CONDITIONS

Many of The Pod Chocolates products, other than fresh truffles, have “best before” guidance. Guidance varies across our product range, so please check out the storage information on each individual product page.

Fresh truffles - dairy, vegan and sugar free, have specific storage and shelf life dates on their product page information. It is essential that these products are stored in a refrigerator from the time you receive your order.

 FRESH DAIRY CREAM TRUFFLES

Our selections of Dairy Cream truffles contain dairy products and should be stored in a refrigerator away from any residual dampness. This is easy to do by popping the chocolate box inside a freezer bag before placing in the fridge.

The stated date on the box is void if they are not stored in a refrigerator. They will come to no harm left out of a fridge for a while prior to eating, or handing round at social occasions.

Should you wish to post these chocolates we recommend 24 hour tracked Royal Mail as this minimises their time in non-refrigerated transport or storage. If taking them anywhere yourself we suggest that during warmer weather or in a heated car, you pop them into a cool bag.

FONDANT CREAM FILLED CHOCOLATES

Our fondant cream filled chocolates are recommended to be stored at normal room temperature, up to 20 degrees centigrade and away from any direct heat sources, strong smells or dampness. If warmer temperatures are expected we advise that they should be put in a cool place, in order to keep them in top condition. They do not normally require refrigerated storage.
